Personal Banker and Part-time Teller 

Personal Banker – Jerseyville Branch

Jersey State Bank is looking for an energetic, customer-oriented team player to be a full-time Personal Banker in our Jerseyville, IL branch. This person needs to enjoy interacting with people, be positive, friendly, and dependable with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities for this position include positively and professionally promoting the bank’s retail products and services by opening new deposit accounts, assisting with debit cards, trouble-shooting mobile deposits and on-line banking questions as well as general banking inquiries.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Energetic, team player able to work with a wide range of people
  • Effective communication skills, strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Windows, Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel and be able to quickly learn other software relating to the job
  • Strong desire to learn and take on new challenges.
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Prior banking or other customer service and cash handling experience preferred

The hours of work will be Monday through Friday 7:45 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., ability to stay until 5:00 p.m., if needed and occasional Friday night until 6:00 p.m. Rotating Saturday schedule from 7:45 until 12:15. Candidates may occasionally be scheduled for the Grafton Bank facility.

Part-time Teller – Jerseyville Branch

Jersey State Bank is looking for an energetic candidate to be a part-time teller with our bank. This person needs to enjoy interacting with people, be positive, friendly, and dependable with excellent customer service skills.

Essential duties and responsibilities for this position include conducting customer transactions, including checking, savings, and loan entries. This candidate will promote the Bank’s products and services with exceptional customer service in a positive, professional manner.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

  • Energetic, team player able to work with a wide range of people
  • Flexibility with work hours and work location
  • Effective communication skills
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Prior banking or other customer service and cash handling experience preferred
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Windows, Email, Microsoft Word, and Excel and be able to quickly learn other software relating to the job
  • The ability to lift twenty-five pounds may be required.

Scheduled hours will vary, and the number of hours weekly is not guaranteed. Candidates will be required to work a rotating Saturday schedule. Additional hours may be available to cover vacations and other absences. The work hours needed are between 7:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7:45 until 12:15 on Saturday. Candidates may occasionally be scheduled for the Grafton Bank facility.
